Gina joined the team in 2021 after ten years of industry experience, including retail banking, investments, lending, training, compliance, and management.

Born and raised in Powell River, Gina spread her wings and moved to Alberta for 16 years, where she attended MacEwan University for a BA in psychology, which took her through a variety of positions, including a Program Assistant for families with autistic/special needs children and as a preschool teacher. She then directed her passion for helping and educating into obtaining a Life Insurance Licence and working for a financial firm before she took time off to have her children.

2016 Gina moved back to Powell River and re-entered the financial industry and worked diligently and passionately to evolve her career quickly in the retail banking industry with BMO, holding almost every position within the branch, including covering multiple positions at a time. With the additional 15 years of experience in customer service, she has developed rapport and business relationships within our community, and she enjoys already knowing many of WLWP’s clients.  Looking to tailor her passion for financial advice and guidance has brought Gina to Verecan Wealth & Verecan Mortgage Services to further her commitment to helping clients and our community with her knowledge of insurance and mortgage products.

Along with her two children, Damon and Olivia, Gina enjoys various outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, and off-roading, as well as calming activities like meditation and reading.

Laura joined our team in May 2019 after moving back to the East Coast from spending some time in Saskatchewan.

A Dalhousie University alum, Laura graduated with a BA in Community Design and a diploma in Horticultural technology with a Minor in environmental science.

Professionally, her priority is supporting clients in making the right choices for their family or business. Personally, her priority is family. When Laura isn’t in the office, you likely find her hiking with the family, finding new areas to explore or spending time with family or at the camp.

As an insurance advisor, Laura works with individuals, families, and business owners to help find the proper insurance products to suit their unique needs, including life, health and disability insurance.
